Care Group Ministry Overview
Harvest Temple, New Testament Church of God, Care Group Ministry was launched in September 2008, with the desire for everyone to understand and act on their God given purpose whilst here on earth.
VISION
- To have a fully functioning Care Group Ministry that caters for every member holistically
MISSION
- Equip members through Bible study and discipleship (Acts 2:42-46)
- Evangelise the lost (by reaching into their local community and doing kind deeds (Matthew 25:35-36))
- Care and support group members (1 John 3:17-18)
TRAINING
All Care leaders are expected to attend a training day (usually one Saturday) with on-going support from their mentor.
Care leaders make use of the training programmes offered by the National Board of Education for Chaplaincy and Cell group leaders. Study groups are held fortnightly, and run for a maximum of 15 weeks, with the option of sitting an exam and obtaining a recognised qualification:
- Equipping People for Ministry (2009-2010)
- Helping People in Crisis (2010-2011)
- Caring for People Inside and Outside the Chruch (2011-2012)
- Understanding Self and Others (2012-2013)
