HOW WE HAVE HELPED

“Sometimes I have nothing and if it wasn’t for the foodbank myself and my child would have no food to eat.”

“When I have no food I have to come and it has been a God send.”

“I am really struggling with buying nappies.  The bank helps me buy a few more days”

“I am struggling on benefits.  I am used to working and the benefit just doesn’t last.”

“Before I came to the foodbank I had to go out begging and prostitution to feed my family.”

“When I pay the rent, my money finishes and there is nothing for food, the Foodbank helps me.”

“The food I receive stretches.  I receive 43.40 pw and by the time I pay bills it does not last.  The bank has stopped me going without food.  I do not have any family and therefore no support.”

“When I first came to the food bank I was on my knees I was in desperate need of food  and was struggling from day today but as it progressed and me coming to the bank I have now found employment.  I am now a volunteer at the Foodbank.”
